Founders of Meat Gear
Our Story

Meat Gear is the story of two men, one dream, and a whole helluva a lot of protein. Shortly after meeting on the fateful practice fields of Davidson College in 2002, Dr. Jordan Sundheim and Ryan “Pile O’ Meat” Arnold, quickly bonded over the desire to pound weight, eat meat, and dominate life . Upon graduating, the two continued to dominate the weight, study business, and daily consume grams of protein the FDA would consider toxic.

Life was perfect, but for one problem: Every time they flexed in the mirror, they noticed that their workout apparel did not appropriately match their gargantuan physiques. They needed apparel that would grant them enough room around the upper arm, shoulder, and chest areas, as well as apparel that would represent their meatiness within.

This turkey-devouring tandem then turned their efforts towards producing apparel that would satisfy meatheads of all shapes and sizes. An estimated 872,800 grams of consumed protein after that fateful day Arnold and Sundheim met, the duo joined forces to the excitement of Meatheads everywhere. They quickly reached out to the amateur bodybuilding philosopher/poet Eric “The Meat Wheel” Sundheim. On August 12, 2008, the story began…the story of: MEAT GEAR.
